From Trowels to Injections: The Man Behind the MAN
Built on structural precision. Guided by clinical empathy. Dedicated to the perfect finish.
The “Old School” Apprenticeship
My journey into clinical aesthetics didn’t begin in a hospital ward or a high-end skin clinic. It began in the year 2000, as a 16 year old with a trowel in my hand and my boss (father) shouting at me over songs by Eminem and Craig David playing on the radio.
My father is a plasterer — old school to his core, a local legend in his craft, and still outperforming people half his age well into his eighties. Working alongside him wasn’t just a job; it was an apprenticeship in perfectionism. If a finish wasn’t glass-smooth, it wasn’t acceptable. There was no tolerance for “good enough.”
From him, I learned that outcomes are decided long before the final touch. Structure matters. Preparation matters. Precision matters. Whether you’re restoring a wall or restoring a face, the quality of what lies beneath determines the result.
In many ways, plastering was my first introduction to aesthetics — an understanding that excellence comes from respecting structure, taking time, and obsessing over the finish.
The Transition to Healthcare
While my father taught me physical precision, life taught me the value of empathy, resilience, and compassion.
In my younger years, I experienced a period where life felt overwhelming and deeply challenging. Reaching out for support changed the trajectory of my life and ignited a desire to be that same source of support for others.
This led me into healthcare in 2010, following completion of a degree in Psychology, and ultimately to becoming a Registered Mental Health Nurse within the NHS. For over a decade, my work has centred on understanding people — not just symptoms — and supporting individuals through moments of vulnerability, self-doubt, and change.
That foundation continues to shape every consultation I conduct today.
Why Mr Aesthetics Nurse?
At first glance, plastering, mental health nursing, and aesthetics may seem worlds apart. For me, they form a complete circle.
My career has always been driven by one core aim: helping people feel better in themselves. Aesthetics simply adds a new, powerful dimension to that mission.
When someone feels comfortable in their own skin, it influences how they show up in every area of life — confidence, relationships, mindset, and wellbeing. Aesthetics, when done well and ethically, is not about vanity. It’s about self-esteem, autonomy, and feeling aligned with how you present to the world.
I founded Mr Aesthetics Nurse to deliver a healthcare-led approach to aesthetics — one that reduces stigma, welcomes both women and men, and prioritises safety, realism, and long-term outcomes over trends or volume.
The Gold Standard (and Why It Matters)
When I entered the aesthetics industry, I was genuinely shocked by what I found.
A largely unregulated landscape where treatments carried real medical risk — including vascular occlusion and tissue damage — and could be performed after minimal training. The physical consequences can be serious, but the psychological impact of poor outcomes is often overlooked.
That reality conflicted deeply with my professional values. In healthcare, we don’t cut corners. We don’t rush decisions. And we don’t compromise safety.
If I was going to practice aesthetics, it had to be done properly — or not at all.
Training & Clinical Expertise
I am proud to have completed a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Practice, the recognised gold standard for aesthetic training in the UK.
My postgraduate training included advanced competencies in:
Psychological assessment and ethical consultation
Advanced facial and neck injection techniques
Safe use of temporary and reversible dermal fillers
Recognition and management of complications and medical emergencies
This training allows me to combine structural understanding with medical safety and psychological insight — ensuring treatments are not only technically sound, but appropriate for the individual.
My Philosophy
At Mr Aesthetics Nurse, consultations are never a tick-box exercise. They are thoughtful, collaborative conversations.
I don’t just see a face — I see the person behind it. I understand the courage it takes to seek change and the importance of being heard, respected, and never rushed.
Some treatments are performed on the same day as consultation. Others — such as dermal fillers — are intentionally not. This allows you time to reflect, and allows me time to plan a bespoke, considered approach tailored to your anatomy and goals. This is not about delay — it’s about doing things properly.
Every decision is guided by safety, proportion, and long-term outcomes.
The Goal
My goal is simple: to deliver gold-standard, medically led aesthetic treatments that help people feel confident, refreshed, and comfortable in their own skin — without compromising safety or integrity.
I am proud of where I came from, and proud of the standard I set today. I bring the same old-school obsession with preparation, precision, and finish to every treatment I perform.
Whether your goal is subtle restoration or refined enhancement, you will be met with honesty, professionalism, and genuine care.
You’ve seen my journey — now I’d be honoured to be part of yours.
